These two little things are getting sillier by the day and continue to fill our lives with joyous exhaustion.
This month has brought a few new developments. We are now learning to crawl. We can gracefully go from sitting to our bellies or all fours. Once we get on all fours, we rock a little, and then plop down on our bellies out of frustration of not knowing what to do next. However, if we are trying to get somewhere, we manage to find a way there with a combo of rolling and combat crawling.
This month also brought our first ear infections. And to tell you the truth, had we not gone to the doctor to check out James' stuffy nose, I would have never known they had them. James had been congested for about a week. No fever. No extraordinary fussiness. No huge appetite changes. Nada. The only reason I even called the doctor was to see if they could give me any more pointers on how to help him breathe a little better. Fortunately, because we are new to the practice here, they wanted us to come in. Thank goodness! Poor James had both ears awfully infected and Mattie Rose had one as well. Hello first round of antibiotics... They are continue to grow just wonderfully though. I didn't pay attention to length, but James weighs 16 pounds 11 ounces and Mattie Rose weighs 15 pounds 2 ounces.
So we have been laying low and giving extra snuggles. And in the meantime, we have turned 8 months old! Typing that ignites something in me that feels the need to start planning a birthday party. Wow...
Anyway, for lack of time (per the usual), no captions needed on these sweet faces. Hope they bring a smile to your face like they do mine daily!
