MeMe Comes to Visit

The funny thing about moms seems to be the older we get, the less we should really need them. But in fact, the older I get, the more I need my mom.

Just something about her presence makes all seem right in the world.

MeMe came to visit several weekends ago, and we had lots of fun while she was here. As usual.

Before MeMe left on Sunday, we ventured out to the Homesteads for the Apple Festival. The festival is held each year to raise money to keep the Homestead Tower open year-round. I didn't know much about the Homesteads when we moved here, but it's quite a bit of history that you can read about here.
