One Man's Trash

Early Saturday morning, Rachael and I (I'd add a link to her blog, but she doesn't have one..Rach I hope you are reading haha) went garage sale-ing and to a few estate sales. Out of all the ones we went to, we actually both ended up buying something from the same place. She bought a pair of old chair to recover later and I ended up with a cute little lamp.

After looking at lamps at Pottery Barn and other wonderful companies, and almost getting sick over the cost of nice lamps, I was thrilled when I found my $3 beauty. She came shade-less and with no promise of producing light. But I figured for $3, it would still be cheaper to get it re-wired and buy a lamp shade than to purchase a brand new one.

I took her home, cleaned her up, and plugged her in.

And let there be light!
