I figured it might be a good idea to document our October happenings before Thanksgiving goes as quickly as it's coming.
Though we were incredibly busy with finalizing business and building matters, I made sure we didn't miss out on some fall fun.
Homestead Elementary hosted a fall festival at the school. We got there pretty late, but the babies seemed to have enough fun playing in the bubbles to notice.
{mommy, why can't i catch them...}
{taking it all in}
{oh that face}
There is a small town about 30 minutes from Crossville called Allardt. They have a water tower in town that reads "Home of the Giant Pumpkins." And they aren't lying. They hold a big pumpkin festival each year, so we decided to check it out. It was abnormally warm that day, but thankfully there were plenty of trees around to provide some much needed shade.

I have helping out with the youth group at our church and lead a small group for 9th and 10th grade girls. They are so much fun, and I feel like they keep me young. Over their fall break, I hosted a little slumber party for them. We had a great time, painted nails, practiced cheerleading and karate moves, and stayed up way too late. And the next morning, I remember how old I was. My body is not made to stay up past midnight, and it took me a few days to recover. But worth every bit of it! I am completely humbled and grateful to get to watch them grow and see how the Lord is moving in each of their lives.
{i feel like i don't look like the "adult"}
{as many selfies as they take, you would think they would like having their picture taken :) }
{my sweet friend callie came over to help}
{kristen, savannah, and myself}
Our trip to Allardt didn't quelch my need for pumpkin activities, so on another weekend we spent an afternoon at Autumn Acres. They have a bunch of activities there for the kids to do, including a tractor ride to a pumpkin patch, where you can pick your own pumpkin literally off the vine. The Siscos joined us, which makes any adventure that much more fun!
